Merv Chia / Chairman of Board of Directors
Mr. Chia is the President of NEX Industries Ltd. since September 1999, a private investment company, which has owned and operated businesses in the energy service, construction, agri-business and light manufacturing industries. Mr. Chia was also President and Chief Executive Officer of NX Capital Corp, merging it with Newton Energy Corp in 2007. He serves on the board of several businesses and is active in International Development work in West Africa for the Red Cross.

Steve Engwall / Chief Executive Officer & Director 
Steve Engwall is a British national based in the United Kingdom. Steve is a reservoir engineer with 34 years of Oil and Gas industry experience in the UK and continental Europe. Steve started with Schlumberger, worked with Occidental Petroleum for 10 years rising to Chief Petroleum Engineer, and 13 years at Total/Elf as Head of Negotiations. Steve has also provided senior strategic and planning consulting services including field development, coordination of joint ventures and reservoir engineering evaluation to various Oil and Gas companies operating in the UK and internationally such as Nexen, TAQA Bratani and Faroe Petroleum.

Bahman (Barry) Sadrehashemi / Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sadrehashemi is a Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of post qualification experience in banking and finance as well as oil and gas, telecommunication industries. He is currently an instructor with the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business.

Richard Schmitt / Director
President and Director of Africa Oil Corp since October 16, 2006; Director of Tyner Resources Ltd. since October 16, 2006 previously President and General Manager of Occidental Petroleum, Yeman, from 2001 to 2005.

Bruce Williams / Director
Mr. Williams is the President of a private Calgary based consulting and investment company for the past 20 years with investment in real estate, oil and gas, and biotechnology. During that period he has also lived in the United Kingdom for 5 years and remains active in consulting and various investments in that country. Previous to this position Mr. Williams was employed with a major oil and gas firm based in Calgary with responsibilities in the international area and for investment evaluation. Mr. Williams has also been employed with the Federal government in Ottawa as an economist with the Department of Finance and Treasury Board and has worked as a credit officer and research analyst with a lending institution.
